Read With Us: So, What'd'ja Think?

The Reality Of It

. . . is that sometimes I have trouble starting my own engines on a Monday!

Although I'm back home now, I've been up north for a while. Long enough . . . that I have a lot of catching up to do now that I'm back. (I'm not complaining. Just explaining.)

I'm looking for a jump start for myself today, so . . . no interesting links for you. But I can still share my quote for the week:

"How did it get to be so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before it's June. My goodness, how the time has flown. How did it get so late so soon?"
        --- Dr. Seuss

Happy Monday, everyone.
I hope your week is off to a great start!

(Anyone have some jumper cables?)

Don't forget to join Bonny, Carole, and I tomorrow for our Read With Us Discussion of this quarter's book selection . . . Wild Game.

It seems everyone in our house is having trouble getting started this Monday, too, so it's not just you! My alarm went off and I immediately fell back asleep (and had a very strange dream). I wish I had some interesting links to share, but I'm still waiting for my coffee to kick in.

Lovely impatiens and I also wonder how time has become so warped. (I like the Dr. Seuss quote and it will hopefully replace me singing "Time Warp" from Rocky Horror so often.)

Love Dr.Suess! Some days seem to fly at times and the next minute things seem in slow motion, (I'm thinking in terms of this COVID life), but we all know it will end SOME DAY. At what cost is the question?
Hope you get your day going and that you get some more time up North.

My engines have been slow to start this morning. After limited electricity thanks to a generator, no cable or internet for 5 days I’m totally out of sync. Top that off with my husband having knee replacement on Wednesday. its just going to be a disjointed week. And how did it get to be August?

It's almost lunch time now . . . I hope your day is going well and you've found your motivation!

Hope your day has picked up some speed! ;)

Here is to being happy with a slow start, appreciating the gradual moments and welcoming in what comes your way! XO

Knee replacement/disjointed week. So funny. At least while he's recuperating he’s not missing much, Geri. My husband’s was in the dead of winter. Icy sidewalks, with a walker. So much fun. Have a good rest of your day, Kym! Chloe
