TGIF
03/22/2019
Here is my very-early-Spring-in-Michigan version of #blueskyblooms. . .
Yep. It's a taken-from-the-inside shot of an amaryllis -- but blooming against a blue sky outside the window! That's about as good as it gets here in Michigan in late March. But I'll take it. Blue sky and sunshine FTW! (Even though the wind is blowing cold and the temperature is only 35 F right now.)
It's Friday; let's TGIF!
T - Thinking about . . . pulling the details together for a couple of trips in the next few months.
G - Grateful for . . . no more snow piles in my yard!
I - Ignoring . . . that "soft" deadline I set for my taxes. (Sunday. Yeah. Just not gonna happen.)
F - Feeling . . . super ambivalent about March Madness, but will probably watch a few games with Tom anyway. (But how about those pink shoes on the University of Michigan team? Fun, huh?) (Here's the story behind the shoes.)
Happy Friday to all of you!
See you on Monday.

Blue skies are so much better than grey even if it’s 35 degrees! We are excited to watch the Colgate Tennessee game this afternoon. My brother works at Colgate and will be at the game with my sister in law.

Beautiful picture Kym! Hope your weather warms up a bit. I like the pink shoes!! (I had not heard about them - I don't watch any sports and neither does Fletch.) They are fun. Have a great weekend!!

Blue skies make even 35 degree temps not seem so bad! Your flower is so lovely!

Rooting for our two hometown teams --- Temple and Villanova. I doubt Temple will make it to final four, but Villanova has a good chance.

Enjoy March Madness! We've had every color of sky imaginable today! A truly spring weather - the inclement kind - day. Your amaryllis looks lovely against the blue sky.
Have a great weekend, sans doing those taxes. Can't say I blame ya!
Cheers~

Here is to sunshine and blue skies. I find the sun cheers me on cold windy days. The thirty five degrees with wind reminds me of Cheyenne in March.

I woke up to snow. W.T.F. But I have a second bloom on my amaryllis and there are FOUR more to come. Can't wait to hear about the trips you are planning!

I can deal with the colder temperatures as long as the sun is out -- glad you have that beautiful blue sky to look at!

Pink amaryllis and blue sky! That's the ticket! We have gray, rain, cold, wind, but it comes and goes between still cool air, but blue, blue skies. It's March. It's acting like March. As you said--FTW! All I know about MM is that it's happening. I'm far from any news about it, but I'm going to read the story of the pink shoes. Happy Weekend!

Your amaryllis are stunning against any color sky ... and I'm totally with you on the March Madness. Even Marc is owning his Feign this year - it's 7pm on Saturday ... and we are watching Iron Chef (reruns ... from Years ago!!) :-)

The overarching question -- to me -- is why would a manufacturer even think to make pink shoes for men. Even with breast cancer awareness, there couldn't possibly be enough buyers to make them financially successful. But apparently they are. Love the amaryllis.

Douglas Adams had the right idea about deadlines: "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." I saw lots of snow piles remaining in Fort Collins, so you've melted faster than CO!
