I am sitting in that place of caught breath today - hopeful for a new direction to travel, ready to welcome the light.

Beautiful mantel! Our friends have a daughter living in Denmark - we were discussing hygge last evening. Good stuff!

I have had Jethro Tull's Solstice Bells playing in my head for a while this morning, and am glad to replace that with Margaret Atwood's beautiful words. Wishing you Light!

What a beautiful quote with the perfect picture. Winter has arrived with snow, which is fitting. I will be watching for every added minute of daylight. This is my day of celebration.

Wishing you light! What a beautiful mantel...and a beautiful quotation. I love that part about the past letting go.

The quote took my breath away--let the light come in!

We had an office remodel this year and my desk was moved a few feet to the south. For the past week-ish or so, while at its lowest, the sun shines in on me through the window -- practically in-my-eyes type of shining -- but I have not minded one single bit! I'll be very happy to see this phase end, but if it's gotta happen, it's been a nice little bonus.
Happy Solstice!!
