"Let Your Taste Decide"
07/14/2015
When we were up north last week, we drove into town a couple of times for various errands (and to use the library's wifi). Whenever we're in town, we stop at Jones Homemade Ice Cream for a treat. They have great ice cream -- and long lines of happy ice cream patrons!
This week, Carole asks us about our favorite ice cream flavors. Mine?
- Sea Salt Caramel
- Sea Salt Caramel with chocolate "bits" or "swirls"
- Mackinac Island Fudge (This is probably a regional flavor.) (Too bad for you.)
- Peppermint (Not mint chocolate chip; just peppermint.) (Which is hard to find.)
- Black Cherry
- Peach
- Black Raspberry
- Amaretto Cherry Fudge (Our local ice cream place has this flavor sometimes.) (Mmmm.)
- Blue Moon (A Midwest tradition.) (I hardly ever order it now, as a grown-up, because of the blue lips/blue tongue effect.) (My kids ALWAYS got Blue Moon. Or it's ready companion, Superman.)
- Almost any flavor of Jeni's Ice Cream. (We can buy it locally.)
How about YOU? What's your favorite ice cream? (Or, as the Jones sign says . . . how do you "let YOUR taste decide?")

You and Carole both mentioned peppermint, so of course I want some now. I've never had it but it sounds wonderful!

No peppermint for me. Schnapps only. :-) That sea salt caramel sounds delish and swirls might take me over the top!

Regional favorites are so much fun. I'm not sure we have anything that's as unique as your flavors!

Great list! I'm not a real ice cream addict but in the summer? oh yah!

Mackinac Island Fudge sounds really decadent and killer sweet. But I'd try it if I could get my hands on some!

I'm not much of a ice cream eater, but those flavors sound delicious. Butter pecan is my favorite.

So many delicious flavors, so little time!

Agree on the peppermint. I loooove lemon custard but it is super difficult to find!

we came THIS CLOSE to sea salt caramel instead of strawberry in our bowl yesterday. and I love that your list needs wikipedia references! three summertime visits to Wisconsin and I have yet to even hear about Blue Moon...but I guess that's not surprising since I have yet to have ice cream there!
