Choose . . . to Celebrate

There are exactly as many special occasions in life
as we choose to celebrate.
---- Robert Brault

It's November.  And that means. . . our thoughts go to giving thanks.

I'm lucky.

For me, it's easy.

Incredibly easy to be grateful.

I have so much. . . so VERY much . . . to be thankful for.

My family.

My health.

My home.

My job.

My pets.

My friends.

And on and on and on.

So much.

That it begins to sound . . . almost trite.

This month, I'm challenging myself to think about gratitude in a new way.  This month, I'm asking myself . . . what do I choose to make a special occasion?  What do I choose . . . to celebrate?

Today, I celebrate:

  • the fruits of hard work and planning
  • having a great team of people to work with
  • boots and sweaters

How about you?

Boots and that. And Friday, yes definitely celebrating Friday.

I'm celebrating the wonder of the harvest...squash!
Fruits of labor are to come with my freshly painted closet. I'm celebrating early!

I'm celebrating that harvest is almost over...if the weather will just hold for a bit longer.

I'm celebrating that it's Friday and that means Dale and I get to spend the entire evening together. It's a weekly celebration around here!

ooohh what a great and different take! this weekend, I'm celebrating family (and knitting).
