Accidents Will Happen

I got this text yesterday from Brian. . .

He had a bit of a problem when he did his laundry.*

Oops!**

Such a sad face.

(Such a sad little hat.)

He wants a replacement.  Slouchy.  Basic.

Any suggestions?

(Click here to see the non-felted version.)

==========

*  I'm so pleased that he said, "I accidentally felted my hat."  Only a knitter's kid would say that.  (Non-knitter's kids would say, "My hat shrunk!")

**  The fact that he actually did laundry also pleases me.

How about the Cider Press Hat by Amy Christoffers? There are so many choices!

He probably needs a hat right away with winter moving in! There are so many hats available on Ravelry that it would be hard to pick just one!

Doing the laundry, knowing what "felted" means", and that pitiful sad face clearly make Brian deserving of a new hat asap! Maybe Kendall-Basic Slouchy Hat http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kendall---basic-slouchy-hat or Chunkeanie? http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/chunkeanie

Carole

It happens. Jessica texted me the other day that 6 of her socks have holes in them. I call it job security!

Cookie

I guessed the wrong kid! Such a cute little face. I'm glad you'll be replacing the tiny red hat.

Mary

I think this hat http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/barley-2 would look great on a guy and you can make it slouchy or not.

Marilyn

My only suggestion would be to make it out of superwash yarn!! ;)
Yay, for the clothes washing. :)

Kim

I'm a little late to the party, but I think Marilyn's superwash suggestion is bang-on for dorm/apartment living!

Oh my!

Same hat, new color? Boring...

What about Beth's Zombie Apocalypse Slouchy Hat? (Inspired by "The Walking Dead.") OK, I tried to pass that one off as cool to my sons, but all I got was "I'm not wearing a girl's hat." I thought it looked sufficiently unisex... ; )
