(But in a good way. . .)
This week's topic, Ten Songs That Make You Want to Dance, pretty much puts me over The Edge.
Because. . .
So I decided the simplest thing was to go back . . .
way back . . .
to a time . . .
when these two . . .
What got us out on the dance floor?
Why. . . Almost anything! But, certainly, THESE songs did:
1 - Silver Threads and Golden Needles - Linda Ronstadt. Being Wyoming kids, we were really great Country Swing dancers (we still are, actually!).
2 - Fire on the Mountain - Marshall Tucker Band. Ditto.
3 - China Grove - Doobie Brothers. And, because we were 70s kids, the Doobies could always get us up and dancing!
4 - Brick House - Commodores. Definitely got our groove on with this one!
5 - Night Fever - BeeGees. Oh, yeah. We were Right There . . . in the midst of Disco Fever!
6 -Da Ya Think I'm Sexy - Rod Stewart. Okay. So Tom wasn't really a fan of this song, but me and my college friends had a GREAT time with this one!
7 -Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry. Still makes me dance . . .
8 - Miss You - Rolling Stones. Get a little attitude goin', y'know?
9 -Heart of Glass - Blondie. Pure fun.
10 -YMCA - Village People. Because . . . of course.
How about YOU? What songs make YOU dance?
