Just a Little Get-Away
A Winter Diversion: The ChapStick Challenge - Week 4

It is Friday

It is Friday.  Capping a busy week.  Heading into a busy weekend.  Leading to an even-busier next week.  More snow.  Muffler repair (Tom's).  And a party to throw.

This is when I turn to . . .

Join me.

The Storm

Now through the white orchard my little dog
     romps, breaking the new snow
     with wild feet.

Running here running there, excited,
hardly able to stop, he leaps, he spins
until the white snow is written upon
     in large, exuberant letters,
a long sentence, expressing
the pleasures of the body in this world.

Oh, I could not have said it better

--- Mary Oliver, New and Selected Poems, Volume Two

Ahhhhh.  I feel better already.

Enjoy the weekend . . . whatever it may hold.

makes me smile! Jenny does love the snow! (Holly, not so much. nor rain, which is what we're seeing a lot of today) Happy Weekend!

Jenny sure has a lot to say and she reminds me I meant to make a snow angle last weekend when we were in the mountains. Since new snow is expected over the weekend I may have a chance in my own front yard!

I think our weekend holds more snow. I'm kind of done with it!

She's a happy dog. And I'm heading to the mall this weekend and I'm buying a Mary Oliver collection! Thank-you for bringing her into my world. ;-)

Aw. Jenny!

It seems like the weekend equals snow or bad weather in some form or fashion. Too bad we can't get Mother Nature to cooperate! :) Give Jenny an ear-scratch for me...
Have a good (if busy) weekend!

Remember to take time for lip balm in the busy-busy days to come. Love the photo of my Jenny! :D

I love all things Mary OLIVER

I love to see our dogs with snow on their noses. It means they are having a good time.
