Resolutions
01/02/2013
"May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art - write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself." -- Neil Gaiman
When I saw that quote flying around on Facebook yesterday, I realized . . . I just couldn't say it any better. As he so often does, Neil Gaiman has inspired. He has given me my motto for 2013.
Surprise yourself.
Indeed.
As for the rest of my New Year's resolutions:
- Listen
- Support
- Act
- Consider
- Risk
- Try
- Reach
- Stretch
- Move
- Offer
- Plan
- Grow
- Rest
- Document
So, let it begin!
(Good madness. Don't you just love it?)
Surprise yourself and good madness...both sound like fun things to have in the new year! I hope all your wishes and resolutions come true. :)

Neil Gaiman always inspires with his words and following his advice is so a lovely way to go. I take on his beautiful resolutions, too!

LOVE it! American Gods is near the top of my to-read pile for 2013 - this might push it to the top! "surprise yourself" indeed (a new OLW, perhaps?)

Love it - push has figured high on my list as we enter 2013. Gotta get this wing back and reach for the stars!

That quote is perfect! I sure surprised myself in 2012, I never would have thought I'd take up running - truly a SHOCK. Who knows what 2013 will bring but I am open and ready!

Surprise yourself...Oh yes, I have to adopt that as well. Happy New Year Kym to you and all your family.

Love the good madness - what a GREAT quote! I love your list, too. Maybe having ONE word just doesn't cut it? Will have to consider that one...
Happy New Year!
(((hugs)))
