Sundays . . . Are For Poetry
A Week of Thanksgiving: Tuesday

A Week of Thanksgiving: Monday

Be steady and well-ordered in your life so that you can be fierce and original in your work.

-- Gustave Flaubert

Today is Monday.  Often, I think Mondays are hard.  Because. . . you know.  Work.

But, really, I am thankful for my work.

I am happy that I can make a contribution.  And be part of the solution.  And use my brain.  (And get paid for it, too.)

On Monday, I am thankful for meaningful work.

I am thankful for my work, too. It's not just a J-O-B, it's meaningful and that helps a lot when Monday rolls around.

I am very, very grateful for my job and while it isn't necessarily meaningful, it is important to many people (including Smith and me!). ;) Thank you for making my Monday a little more meaningful.

I am also thankful for my less than thrilling job. Because of it, life is a lot more fun to live!

Pretty picture!
Work is gets me out of the house and works my brain cells... :D

Love the quote by Flaubert---I wrote it on my calendar to help me remember my renewed commitment to order and how that can free up energy for other things. And I'm thankful for every step that gets me closer to that goal.

what a nice thought for monday's thankfulness. I must admit my sundays feel a lot different now that I don't go to work on mondays, but I am grateful for my teaching on monday evenings :-) I was thinking today how fortunate marc and I - and our kids! - are to have jobs that we enjoy.
