Out in the Garden
09/12/2011
Fall is coming. I can see it everywhere. Now is a perfect time to be out in the garden.
Sure - things are looking pretty ragged right now - but, when it isn't raining, the garden is an inviting place to be!
I've had some fun surprises in my garden this year. Just last week, for example, one of my water hyacinths (in the PuddlePond, of all places) bloomed!
And earlier this month, I found a cicada hanging out with my succulents. He was most cooperative and posed for several photos.
(I love the green stripe - that looks like a blade of grass - on his wing.)
And all of the rain. . . brings the occasional rainbow.
The rain, actually, has been very good for my garden. My rain barrel is full; the plants are happy; and who can resist the allure of raindrops on rose petals?
Or spiderwort?
Or just plain, old foliage for that matter!
Yes, now is a perfect time to be out in the garden.
And I'm going to enjoy it while I can!
Beautiful photos of your garden, especially the raindrops on those green leaves. Enjoy it while you can because it will be too cold soon enough.

You've got the right idea! So beautiful! I love the raindrop shots, too. I actually love them all.

This time of year it is a must to enjoy being outdoors as much possible, as it's a short lived season, one of the most beautiful of all. Your garden is such a peaceful place.

Such gorgeous photos... my favorite is the last - the petals in the bird bath. Wonderful!
