Why does it not surprise me that you're a lover of Earl Grey ?! I confess to laziness and Twinings teabags. Grey's monument in Newcastle, here's a link :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey%27s_Monument
was erected to honour the man after whom the tea was made. His portrait appears on the teabag boxes.
Wishing you all the best for 2010.
I'll just go and put the kettle on...

I meant 'after whom the tea was named'. Sorry !

The perfect end to the holiday rush. I'm a tea lover, too but my leanings are more towards green or oolong. A friend gave me a dragon cup much like yours. Enjoy the rest of you holiday...it looks like you know what you're doing. ;-)

What fun presents! What are the black handles on the side of the Santa box on top of the cookbooks? And you really DO wear bells on your feet! "Rings on her fingers / Bells on her toes / And she shall have music / Wherever she goes.

Do you know I never did have one of those moments?! We had the strangest Christmas ever!!! Power went off at 1:30 in the morning. Hubby had to get up in the freezing cold and pouring rain to take care of our chicken houses. (which son in law is supposed to do...) Then about the time he got back to bed, warm and almost asleep, he got called in to do power line work at 3:15 am. He didn't get home until 5:30 Christmas night, my power didn't come on until 1:30 Christmas day, and the big dinner for 20, got put off until 6 and presents didn't get opened until 8 at night. CAN YOU BELIEVE? Still, everyone had a good time, happy memories were made, and while it lasted a very short while, it was GOOD! I can guarantee no one will ever forget this one! :) Oh, but yours looks so very, very lovely!

and she had bells on her toes.... what's that from?
enjoy the goodies! Sip tea while planning the dinner, cook the recipes and then drink the wine. They set you up perfectly, huh?
