My Own Spin
Sippin' the Summer Away

My Other World Kind of Weekend

Sometimes, my Every Day World gets to be a little routine.  Work angst.  Humdrum chores.  Deadlines.  Trying to fit everything in.

No Big Deal, really.

Just . . . Regular Life.

But I'm really lucky . . . to have an Other World.

For escape.

And for perspective.

Sure.  There are lots of humdrum chores to attend to when you have a "cottage" "up north" . . .

airing out

docks

raking

birds that need to be chased out of your walls

that kind of thing.

But it's a different kind of humdrum. . . .

a slower pace

without wifi

and spotty cell service

and, well, birds in your walls.

So . . . you just kind of . . .

forget about deadlines and gardening-at-home and your schedule next week.

An escape to the Other World . . . gives you perspective.

It helps you remember that life is more than work, and that chores can wait.

There is great power in kicking back and relaxing a little bit.

Because . . . y'know . . .

those deadlines will still be there come Monday!

And that is what life is all about my friend! Glad you got away and got to enjoy. And I hope the bird was easily moved!

I see JoJo likes the lake! So glad she is not afraid like last year.

You look relaxed. Everyone, dogs included look happy to be there!

Bonny

Absolutely wonderful! Somehow humdrum is so much less so in Another World location!

Cheryl S.

I could certainly skip the birds in the walls, but I'm sure it's worth it.

Marilyn

Sounds like a wonderful way to wind down. Hope Jenny got to do some dock jumping!! And Jo-Jo too. :)

Mary
