Spring Break Throwback

I don't miss my kids' "school days."  At all, really.  I don't miss the schedules and the extra activities and Some People and the drama-of-it-all.  (You could say I've settled into Empty Nesting without a hiccup.)

But there's one thing I do miss.

Spring Break.

If my kids were still in school, we'd be heading south today.  And I do miss that!

So here's a little throwback.  Erin and Brian on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama.  April 2005.

(That beach looks awfully inviting. . .)

It's springtime in the Rockies--four or five inches of new snow and still coming down. i'd love to be on the beach!

Yes, we've had a few nice breaks ourselves. Not this year though! And the empty works! ;-)

A beach would be heavenly right about now! You need it (and deserve it) even more!

The only time I ever traveled for spring break was when I went to Ft. Lauderdale when I was in college. Now THAT was fun!

It snowed here all day. The beach picture is a little get away all by itself!!

I know just what you mean! we were at Rosemary Beach that spring break (a bit to the east - I remember it being chilly!) now I mark spring break by less traffic and stories from the "younger" moms :-)
