The other day, as the sun rose, I glanced out my kitchen window . . . and it looked like the sky was on fire.
But it was just my neighbor's tree, shining in the sunrise and glowing over my backyard!
And from my front porch, I could see this view:
Glowing trees.
Sky on fire!**

** The colors here in lower, Western Michigan are at their peak right now. But yesterday, the wind and the rains came and stayed. And that's NOT a winning combination.

Spectacular!

This time of year certain trees catch the light and glow in a way that is stops us in our tracks. What a lovely thing to witness!

My neighbor has a sugar maple that sets my world on fire -- it is SO amazing! I wish this season lasted just a bit longer.

So beautiful!
The color change is just starting here. Nothing like what you have but still nice.

There is nothing like the sun shining on/through a sugar maple that has turned its glorious fall color. Great photos!

My neighbor's tree across the street has brought much beauty and color to me over the past week as I served my sentence in the chair! Just beautiful Kym!

Beautiful! It really does look like they are on fire. We planted a few sugar maples this summer...I hope they eventually look like your neighbor's tree. :D

Michigan is a beautiful place. Our family drove through your state back in the sixties and I still remember it vividly, particularly the trees.

Magnificent color! I always miss the Midwest in October. Of course in a couple weeks, it will still be in the 70s here, and then I'll again be glad to live in California.
