On Ice

Last week, the weather was warm and teasing us with spring.  But we know better. . . here in Michigan.

On Sunday, we got ice.

Crippling, tree-downing, power-outage ice.

Ice that closes down an entire town.

On Monday and Tuesday, we got snow.

In all the years I've lived in Utah I have never seen ice like that. It can be beautiful, but it must be hell to live through....with snow on top to make matters worse. I hope you have a good thaw soon!

lynn

Are you kidding - we will probably still be needing mittens in May : ) I love all your ice photos and your mitten is beautiful! Stay warm- Lynn

Cookie

Holy Crap!

Marilyn

Love your photos1 Isn't ice beautiful and a pain at the same time???

Driving must be an adventure too. Uff.

Rachel

Hmmm,,, is it allowed to admire the ice, it is beautiful isn't it or you wouldn't take all these lovely photos, right?

I hope you stayed warm and safe through it all.

kmkat

Indeed. Without the ice and snow, where would these wonderful photos be?

otoh, ice topped with snow... sucks. I spent an hour spreading salt on the ice-covered hill of our driveway so that we would be able to get the cars out after the snow came. Only fell once 8-p

Vicki

Oooh, we had the snowfall but not the ice. I hope it warms up soon!

Whenever I see ice like that, I remember the day my youngest sister was born... it looked just like that from the back seat of the car on the way to the hospital!

Carol

Goodness! Winter is definitely not over yet. Hope everything stays safe for you. The mittens are gorgeous! Are they the Woodruff ones?

Nancy

Beautiful photos, though!
